Introducing our new Interim Executive Director!

As of January 1, I am thrilled to introduce Robert Beiser as the Interim Executive Director of Seattle Against Slavery.  Robert’s work with us over the past two years as Public Awareness Campaigns Director has moved the No One Should Be Forced Campaign into the national spotlight.  He has served as Repair the World Director at Hillel UW for five years, which has enabled him to connect with and serve communities in need globally and locally.  We are confident that as he continues his work at Hillel, Robert will bring an informed and compassionate approach to his volunteer position with SAS.

After a year and a half of serving as SAS’ Executive Director, I have the privilege of transitioning into full time direct service as a mental health therapist and continuing my research in the development of an arts therapy toolkit for survivors of human trafficking with Arts Aftercare. I am thankful for the opportunities I have had in my role with SAS, particularly as I have met so many passionate and dedicated people in the fight against human trafficking, and am glad to be able to continue serving on the Board of Directors of Seattle Against Slavery.

To welcome Robert, or if you have any questions, please e-mail him at
